The Use of SMAV Model for Computing Fragility Curves

Among the buildings with strategic role for civil protection purposes part of them were built before introduction modern seismic codes. Aiming to guarantee their operability in case events, they have be assessed and, hopefully, seismically upgraded. This aspect arises necessity reliable low computational demanding numerical models and probabilistic strategies that can easily adopted assessment conspicuous building stock. Part authors proposed validated, previous works, a low-demanding model calibrated on ambient vibrations (SMAV) is engaged this paper calculating fragility curves. On base dynamic geometric properties, SMAV simulates response buildings. The herein procedure adopts takes into account direction input manner. use ASI scale as an Intensity Measure parameter discussed results are compared those obtained others IM scales.
